MacKenzie Company LLC originally began as MacKenzie Chemical Works Inc. and was founded by Ian MacKenzie. Putting his entrepreneurial spirit together with his chemical engineering experience, he began building a company that would produce useful chemicals for unique markets. His patented fuel oil combustion catalyst, "PYROCAT", used many of the metal acetylacetonates we still manufacture today.

The current MacKenzie facility was built in 1977 and the company's products go into urethanes and adhesives. Primarily the acetylacetonates are catalysts and we have representatives serving an extensive US customer base, as well as Latin American clients in Mexico, Brazil and Columbia.

The company is a "Full Line" manufacturer of Metal Acetylacetonates, literally from Aluminum to Zirconium and almost every metal in between. MacKenzie Company also offers custom synthesis of chemical compounds, toll manufacturing and blending of customers' formulations.

We offer a range of perfectly sized equipment to aid a firm in the process of going from laboratory scale to commercialization.

Our facility is located just north of New Orleans and has glass and stainless steel reactors from 85 gallons to 3500 gallons, vacuum drying capabilities, centrifuges and inert gas available.
